The Oppo Reno 15 Series 5G is set to launch in India on January 8, expanding Oppo’s premium mid-range lineup with a sharper focus on design engineering and camera hardware. Succeeding the Reno 14 series, the new lineup introduces three models — Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and the newly added Reno 15 Pro Mini — marking the first time Oppo has offered a compact flagship-style option in the Reno series.
What makes this launch important is the clear specification jump. With 200-megapixel cameras, high-brightness AMOLED panels, flagship-grade durability ratings, and large-capacity batteries, the Reno 15 series is positioned to compete aggressively in the ₹40,000–₹55,000 segment, where buyers prioritise specs over brand recall.
Oppo Reno 15 Series 5G Models Confirmed
Oppo has confirmed the following three models for the Indian market:
• Oppo Reno 15 5G
• Oppo Reno 15 Pro 5G
• Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini 5G
All three devices feature an aerospace-grade aluminium frame and carry IP66 + IP68 + IP69 certifications, placing them among the most rugged smartphones in their category.
Design, Dimensions, and Build Quality
The Oppo Reno 15 series introduces a redesigned camera island with vertically aligned lenses, drawing visual cues from earlier iPhone Pro models. Oppo continues its slim-profile design philosophy while strengthening structural integrity across the lineup. The Reno 15 Pro measures 7.65mm in thickness and weighs 205g, and is available in Cocoa Brown and Sunset Gold colour options. The Reno 15 Pro Mini offers a more compact form factor, measuring 7.99mm thick and weighing 187g, with colour choices limited to Cocoa Brown and Glacier White.
The standard Oppo Reno 15 measures 7.77mm in thickness in Glacier White and Twilight Blue finishes, while the Aurora Blue variant is slightly thicker at 7.89mm. It weighs approximately 197g. Among the finishes, the Aurora Blue model features a gradient design inspired by the Northern Lights, whereas the Glacier White variant incorporates a ribbon-textured pattern on the rear panel.

Display quality remains a key focus across the Oppo Reno 15 series, with all three models featuring AMOLED panels. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini features a smaller 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1216 × 2640 pixels and a 93.35 percent screen-to-body ratio. Display protection includes Corning Gorilla Glass 7i along with AGC DT-STAR D+ reinforcement.
The standard Oppo Reno 15 comes with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display and a 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. It supports peak brightness levels of up to 1,200 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. All three models use Full-HD+ class AMOLED panels engineered for high outdoor visibility and accurate colour reproduction.
Performance and Software
Oppo differentiates performance across the Reno 15 series based on usage profiles. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, while the standard Reno 15 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform. All three models are expected to ship with 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage, targeting users who prioritise multitasking and sustained performance.
On the software front, the Reno 15 series will run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box. Oppo is also introducing AI Editor 3.0, which adds features such as AI Portrait Glow, motion photo editing, and enhanced image retouching tools, aimed at improving post-capture photography and overall content creation workflows.
Camera Hardware and Video Capabilities
Camera hardware is a key point of differentiation between the Reno 15 models. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini are equipped with a 200-megapixel primary rear camera, accompanied by a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto portrait camera with optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera offering a 100-degree field of view. On the front, both Pro models feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
The standard Oppo Reno 15 features a 50-megapixel primary camera, paired with a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. It also includes a 50-megapixel ultra-wide front camera for selfies and video calls.
In terms of video capabilities, the Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Mini support 4K HDR video recording at up to 60fps across the front, primary, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras. Video features include optical image stabilisation on supported lenses, electronic image stabilisation, dual-view video recording, and the ability to capture photos while recording video.
Battery and Charging
Battery capacity sees a notable upgrade across the Oppo Reno 15 series. The standard Oppo Reno 15 is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro also packs a 6,500mAh battery, with support for 80W wired charging along with wireless charging capabilities. The more compact Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini features a slightly smaller 6,200mAh battery while retaining 80W wired fast charging and wireless charging support.
Despite the increased battery capacities, Oppo claims that the Reno 15 series maintains a balanced weight distribution and slim form factor, with no significant compromise in overall thickness or ergonomics.
