The Xiaomi Pad 9 has appeared in a fresh leak, with references found in HyperOS code revealing one of its major upgrades. According to information shared by tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the upcoming tablet could arrive with a 9,720mAh battery, making it larger than the 9,200mAh battery found inside the current Xiaomi Pad 8. The increase suggests Xiaomi may be focusing on longer usage times while retaining flagship-level hardware.
The leak also sheds light on the tablet’s model numbers, identified as M656BA, 26103RP65G, and 26103RP65I. The “2610” designation is believed to hint at an October 2026 launch window. However, Xiaomi could introduce the device earlier in China, depending on its broader product launch plans for the second half of the year.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Specifications Tipped
Beyond the battery upgrade, the HyperOS code reportedly indicates that the Xiaomi Pad 9 may continue to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. If accurate, Xiaomi would be prioritizing battery endurance and software refinements over a major processor change for the standard model.
The larger battery could help improve multimedia consumption, gaming sessions, and productivity tasks, which remain key use cases for premium Android tablets. While charging details have not surfaced yet, Xiaomi’s recent tablets have generally supported fast charging technology.
