A new Lenovo Legion gaming tablet has appeared at the Nuclear Fusion Game Carnival 2026 in Shenzhen, giving enthusiasts an early look at what seems to be a refreshed version of the company's compact gaming tablet. Images from the event reveal a redesigned rear panel featuring a 50MP camera and a customizable RGB light ring surrounding the camera module.
The device draws attention because it closely resembles the recently launched Legion Y700 5th Generation, known globally as the Legion Tab Gen 5. While Lenovo has not confirmed the tablet's specifications, the visible design changes suggest the company is preparing a new edition aimed at mobile gaming enthusiasts.
The standout feature is the RGB lighting integrated around the rear camera module. The lighting is expected to support customizable effects for notifications and gaming, giving the tablet a more distinctive gamer-focused appearance. The rear panel also retains Legion branding and Lenovo's Savi logo.
Since the tablet appears to be based on the Legion Y700 5th Generation, it is expected to retain an 8.8-inch 3K display with a resolution of 3040 × 1904 pixels and a 165Hz refresh rate. The existing model is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for demanding games and multitasking.
The current Legion gaming tablet also includes a 9,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging and bypass charging, a feature designed to reduce heat during extended gaming sessions. Lenovo's Super Connect 3.0 enables seamless connectivity with Lenovo PCs, Motorola smartphones, and cross-device file sharing.
Compact Android gaming tablets remain a niche segment, with Lenovo continuing to compete by combining flagship hardware with a smaller form factor. The refreshed design could help the Legion lineup stand out without changing its core gaming-focused hardware.
