The Vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G has surfaced on the Google Play Supported Devices database, indicating that Vivo could soon expand its budget 5G lineup in India. The listing confirms the device name and model numbers V2553 and V2557, while earlier leaks point to a large 6,500mAh battery, 44W fast charging support, and a possible launch price under Rs 15,000.
The appearance on Google Play matters because it usually signals that a launch is approaching. Vivo’s T-series already has a strong presence in the affordable segment, and the T5 Lite appears aimed at users looking for longer battery life and faster charging without moving into higher price brackets.
The phone is tipped to use either the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 or Dimensity 6400 chipset. If Vivo chooses the Dimensity 6400, it would represent a modest upgrade over the Vivo T4 Lite, which currently runs on the Dimensity 6300 platform. The chipset is generally designed for everyday multitasking, 5G connectivity, streaming, and casual gaming.
Battery appears to be one of the main highlights. The reported 6,500mAh cell would be larger than the 6,000mAh unit found on the previous model, while the jump to 44W charging could significantly reduce charging time. That’s something budget buyers tend to notice quickly in day-to-day use.
The Vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G is also expected to include an IP65 rating, SGS Five-Star drop resistance certification, and military-grade durability claims. Leaks suggest the phone may arrive in Wave Blue and Twilight Shadow colour options.
In the current market, the device would compete with budget 5G phones from Redmi, Realme, and iQOO in the sub-Rs 15,000 category. Its combination of battery capacity and faster charging could help it stand out, especially for users who prioritise long usage time over flagship-level performance.
One limitation, however, is that the Google Play listing does not reveal details about the display, cameras, RAM configurations, or software version yet. Vivo has also not officially confirmed the launch date or complete specifications.
For now, the listing strongly suggests that the Vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G is close to launch, with battery life and durability shaping up as its key selling points in the affordable 5G segment.
