Casio has expanded its G-Steel lineup with the introduction of the GST-B1000BD series, bringing a slimmer case design and an all-black metal finish to the G-Shock family. The new collection includes the GST-B1000BD-1A and GST-B1000BD-2A, both scheduled to launch in Japan in June 2026 with a price tag of ¥75,900.
The release is notable because it reduces the traditionally bulky G-Steel profile while retaining core G-Shock features such as Tough Solar charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and 200-meter water resistance. At 11.6mm thick, the new models are among the slimmer options in the G-Steel range.
Casio GST-B1000BD Design and Build
The GST-B1000BD series measures 46.9 x 44.2 x 11.6mm and uses a bio-based carbon-reinforced resin core protected by a stainless-steel bezel. Casio achieved the thinner profile through a smaller internal module and an updated glass bonding process.
Both watches feature black ion-plated metal components, including the bezel, bracelet, buttons, screw-lock crown, clasp, and exterior screws. The GST-B1000BD-1A adopts a full black design, while the GST-B1000BD-2A pairs the dark exterior with a blue dial for added contrast.
